Andrew Lerner

Andrew Lerner is a Partner and the General Counsel of 26North, where he leads the Firm’s Legal & Compliance function across the platform. Andrew brings more than 25 years of experience advising financial services firms on complex legal, transactional, regulatory and compliance matters.

Prior to joining 26North in 2026, Andrew served as Managing Director, General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer at Gemspring Capital. Before that, Andrew spent a decade at Moelis & Company, where he was Managing Director, Deputy General Counsel- Americas, and the General Counsel of Moelis Asset Management.

Earlier in his career, Andrew was a senior counsel at Credit Suisse. Andrew began his legal career as a corporate attorney at Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP in New York.

Andrew holds a JD from New York University School of Law, an MA in Political Science from The New School for Social Research, and an AB in Philosophy from Muhlenberg College, where he graduated magna cum laude.
